It's been a very long time that I have noticed various instagram profiles with a photograph on a vougue magzine cover edited.Well nothing wrong in it but then I realised that there are only 13 Nobel prize winners from India. Now what's the relation between two well it's the mindset how many young people aim for a nobel prize, well every one is so blinded by glamour that they have a thick cloud over their thoughts almost everyone want to be a vogue cover model well nothing wrong but why? it ll possibly last for a month that you ll have fame and no time before it fades " why is young mindset towards things that will fade and not towards things that will last?".If you try to do some Noble deed if not nobel prize but you ll positively imapct someone's life for life.
The point is that young minds are all engrossed in temporary glitter but not on actual gold.Gold of doing deeds for humanity. No one shows interest in planting a tree while everyone is busy clicking pictures of deforestation and posting them,No one wants to help poor athletes but everyone criticise sports policy for No gold medals in Olympics.
What are we lionizing a person who wears short dresses and pouts with a Gucci leather belt,Well nothing wrong in it but How many of us know actual heroes, People who have worked for motivating, creating , Protecting and discovering things that will help humankind for centuries to come.On this some people will say"oh,I respect such people ". Well it's sad but you don't. Let me give you an example
There is a Alia Bhatt fan page on almost every social media well nothing wrong about that but how many fan pages for "MVC Capt Anuj Nayyar" or "Capt Vikram Batra", "Subramanian Chandrashekhar","Dr.Homhi Bhabha",there's no blue tick under name of "K.Sivan"ISRO chief many of you probably don't know these names. Not your fault but you my friends are not enlightened about our real Heroes. How many feminists know "Kamladevi Chattopadhyay"?,How many of us know "Ritu Karidhal"?. Problem lies with all of us as a society. We take deep interest in ferrari owned by a B town celeb but rarely in people who gave lives for betterment of our society. There are biopics on drug addict and weapons act convict but not even a single complete book about first Indian feminist .
As a society our mindset is disgraced and has been fogged by fake glamour to an extent that we have glorified vandalism and shadowed what actual heroism is.Our priorities should be in constructing our space technology, economy, enriching our heritage,Protecting our forests and oceans and there are people doing that how many of us know these heroes. Isn't it a shame that you know name of a celebrity kid who probably still pee on his pants but not know names like "Great Vijyant Thapar","Sam Maneckshaw","Michelle Thaller","Serge Haroche".
Well I guess If you have read this till now you probably don't know many names I mentioned but you got names I objectified as star kid or a person who drugs himself, Isn't it ?.Also many will notice mistake in vougue/vogue spelling and probably not many will notice mistake in Noble/Nobel.That my friend is enough to probably put a light on what we have become ,A society with disgraced and blind mindset towards necessary things but completely open to non significant things.
off few names I took let mention who they are
Ritu Karidhal-ISRO scientist major contribution in MoM
kamladevi Chattopadhyay-Pioneer of Indian feminism
Capt Anuj Nayyar - 1999 kargill war hero
I will leave other names for you to figure out also would love if this changes perspective of people towards actual heroes of humanity. Its high time we recognise our true heroes and laud for them.
I hope this reaches as many people as it can and probably through my blog I atleast change mindset of few people.
Sorry for opening your eyes
If you find anything offensive about this blog regard as you never read it and happy sleeping
for rest who loved it and feel this can help in some way to broaden mindset do forward this to reach maximum number of people .
regards
